Minimum Experience: 3-5 Years with 3 years practical experience in an electronics or facilities maintenance environment

Minimum Qualification: Diploma in S4 National Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or National N Diploma or N6 Certificate and Trade Test in Electronics, Electrical Engineering

  • Strong knowledge of electronic systems, circuits, and diagnostic tools

Duties & Responsibilities


The principal accountabilities of this position are to:

  • Responsible for the general maintenance and inspection of all electronics equipment and systems of the Bank of Namibia including but not limited to, Fire Detection, Audio-Visual equipment, Building Management Systems. 
  • Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spares inventory.
  • Collaborate with other Technical Staff and Departments to support facilities maintenance efforts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for proposed electronics projects in consultation with the Principal Facilities Maintenance Engineer. 
  • Install, integrate, configure, and commission new electronic equipment and upgrades.
  • Draft scopes of work for Service Level Agreements (SLA) related to electronic systems. 
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and ensure backup support for business continuity purposes.
  • Compile specifications and source quotations for various services relating to facilities maintenance. 
  • Prepare budget plans for the replacement/improvements and maintenance of equipment in areas of responsibility. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Principal Facilities Maintenance Engineer.
