Minimum Experience: 10 Years with 10 years’ experience in areas such as financial services and payments in Namibia and global; and implementation of information technology projects in the banking or fintech sector. Marketing, sales, operations, or business development would be beneficial as a leader.

Minimum Qualification: Honours in IT, Computer Sciences, or related fields. • Postgraduate degree (MBA/Leadership qualification or similar)

Duties & Responsibilities


The principal accountabilities of this position are to:


• Lead operationalisation of the Instant Payment Project (IPP) in alignment with strategic goals.

• Drive strategy execution and align the operations of the organisation to Bank of Namibia’s strategic objective and goals of financial inclusion and digital transformation.

• Oversee the implementation of the instant payment solution, technology solutions, to provide affordable and efficient instant payment services, especially for the informal sectors and the rural areas.

• Drive stakeholder collaboration and nationwide adoption of the instant payment solution

• Ensure efficiency, risk management, and regulatory compliance in operational functions. Optimize internal processes, oversee daily operations, and enhance operational efficiency.
