Minimum Experience: 0-2 Years with A minimum of 1-2 years job related experience in an Internal Audit, Risk and Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance environment.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelors Degree in A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Internal Auditing/ Regulatory Compliance/Law.

· Good knowledge and understanding AML/CFT/CPF policy, legislative and implementation environment both from a prevention and combatting point of view

Duties & Responsibilities


The principal accountabilities of this position are to:


  • Manage Offsite and Onsite FIA Compliance assessment activities of Accountable and Reporting Institutions (AI/RI) with the exception of the Banks. These activities include planning, fieldwork, and post-inspection activities including report writing.
  • Manage progress made by of Accountable and Reporting Institutions (AI/RI), assessed in terms of the FIA compliance assessment report issued, by:
  • reviewing the level of progress made in implementing AML/CTF/CPF control    mechanisms as recommended in the FIA compliance assessment report; and
  • drafting and issuing of the FICs position on the adequacy of the progress made.
  • Conduct ML/TF/PF sectoral risks assessment of various institutions or sectors to contribute to the design of a work plan outlining the work activities. Gather and analyze data from various sector to draw conclusions.
  • Based on non-compliance observed, draft referral report and disseminate for review and escalate for enforcement.
  • Provide training, awareness and guidance to low and medium risk Accountable Institutions and Reporting Institutions to enhance FIA compliance regime.
  •  Manage the process of registering new Accountable Institutions and Reporting Institutions and additional reporting people for supervision and monitoring with the FIA.
  •  Monitor daily updates of the UNSC sanctions lists, to disseminate daily monitoring evidence to the Accountable Institutions and Reporting Institutions and other stakeholders. Draft and disseminate circulars containing updates on the UNSC list to Ministry of Justice for gazetting.
  • Conduct satisfactory surveys to be used in enhancing the Compliance Division operations:
  •  Update periodic statistics to contribute to the divisional and stakeholder reports
