Knowledge & Skills


  • bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, IT, Honours or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business analysis, system testing, or operations within payment systems, banking integration, or financial technology
  • Direct experience with payment clearing and settlement systems and knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards (e.g., PACS009).
  • Exposure to fraud detection tools (EFRM), real-time transaction analysis, and automated reconciliation platforms
  • Deep understanding of Payments back-office management and operations such as deferred gross settlement, SWIFTNET and SWIFT messages.
  • Proficiency in business requirements gathering, process flow documentation, and the use of reconciliation and attestation tools.
  • High attention to detail and quality orientation for financial accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex settlement discrepancies.
  • Ability to work under pressure during go-live cycles and meet strict SLA-driven resolution timeframes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for liaising with banks and technical vendor

Duties & Responsibilities


The principal accountabilities of this position are to:

  • Support the IRCS functions, including attaching fees to transactions, calculating member-wise net positions, and generating Multi-lateral Net Settlement Batch (MNSB) files in ISO format (PACS009) for submission to NISS.
  • Execute daily automated and manual reconciliation processes between the IPS Switch, the back-office database, and participant records to ensure all money movements accurately match.
  • Assist in monitoring the EFRM system, reviewing fraud score injections, managing hotlists and whitelists, and supporting real-time transaction surveillance based on predefined patterns.
  • Manage the Dispute Management System (DMS) and Online Dispute and Issue Resolution (IDIR) platforms to facilitate the processing of chargebacks, credit adjustments, and reversals within mandated timeframes.
  • Oversee the resolution of "Deemed" transactions and failed validation scenarios, ensuring that un-responded reversals are reconciled and updated in the back-office on a T+1 basis.
  • Produce and maintain RAW Data, Net Settlement (NTSL) reports, and audit trails for compliance, while providing visibility through readiness dashboards and management information systems.
